Alderman privacy policy

Alderman collects as little as possible: only what the game needs to keep your season safe and run the season leaderboard. There are no ads, analytics, or tracking, and nothing is sold or shared for marketing.
What we store, and why

Notifications in the Android app are scheduled on your phone; no push service or notification token is used. Like any web service, Google's servers process your IP address and basic device information to deliver the data; we do not store it.
The house name you choose is public. Please do not put personal information in it.
Who processes the data
Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, and Hosting are provided by Google as our processor. See Privacy and Security in Firebase. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest.
How long we keep it
Your cloud save and leaderboard entries stay until you delete them. Anonymous players who have not played for 12 months may be removed.
Delete your data
In the game, open Settings > Delete my data. This removes your leaderboard entries, cloud save and sign-in, and the season on your device, all at once.
If you can no longer open the game, email midnightsyntaxlabs@gmail.com with the subject “Alderman data deletion” and your house name, or the Google account you linked. We delete the data within 30 days and confirm by email.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask to see, correct, export, or delete your data, and you can complain to your data protection authority (in Denmark: Datatilsynet). The legal basis is performing the service you ask for (playing and saving the game) and, for the leaderboard, our legitimate interest in running a fair competition.
Children
Alderman is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has used a Google account with the game, contact us and we will delete the data.
